The Stuttgart Harmonizers are a barbershop quartet in Stuttgart, Germany. We've been around since the mid 1970s, when the group was founded among members of the United States military community as the EUCOM Harmonizers. You can find us at BinG! (the German barbershop association) and on facebook.
Over the decades we have done promotion ceremonies and other events with the U.S. military community, concerts together with other groups on and off base, Christmas and birthday parties, weddings, "singing valentines" and receptions.
Members have come and gone over the years and none of the original members are still singing. We usually perform with four members on stage, but we learn new songs and rehearse with more, if more are available. We rehearse and sing almost exclusively in English, but several of our members are Germans or speak German well, so communication should not be an issue. Unter dem ursprünglichen Namen "EUCOM Harmonizers" wurde dieses Barbershop Quartett 1975 vom US Navy Commander Dick Almen
in der Patch Barracks Kaserne in Stuttgart/Vaihingen ins Leben gerufen, dem Hauptquartier der amerikanischen Streitkräfte
in Europa.
Die Stuttgart Harmonizers bestehen aus Mitgliedern der Streitkräfte, zivilen Mitarbeitern amerikanischer Behörden sowie
Amerikanern und Deutschen, die in und um Stuttgart leben und arbeiten. Unserer Auftritte finden sowohl im militärischen
als auch im zivilen Umfeld Stuttgarts statt.
Wegen dem meist temporären Charakter der militärischen Stationierung, aber auch dem heutigen Arbeitsleben mit immer
schnelleren Wechseln ist die Besetzung immer wieder neu zu formieren. Wenn Sie mitsingen oder uns evtl. für einen Auftritt

Recent performances include...
- ...the annual "Christmas Storytelling" with the New English American Theatre at the Theater am Olgaeck in Stuttgart in December of 2017. The photo above shows us on stage. Between readings by NEAT actors, we sang our Christmas program and, perhaps for the last time, wore the Scottish vests the EUCOM Harmonizers introduced some time way back in the 1970s or 1980s. They're cute for this tongue-in-cheek Christmas gig, but don't fit us well enough - in any sense of the word - for regular use.
- ...a private Advent party in Tübingen in December of 2017.
- ...our Christmas program for the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies at Robinson Barracks in Stuttgart-Bad Canstatt and Patch Barracks in Stuttgart-Vaihingen in November and December of 2017. After our performance at Patch, a guy from AFN pulled us aside and had us improvise a line.
- ...the 70th anniversary reception for the German-American Women's Club in November of 2017.
- ...two performances of the "Spoon River Anthology" with the New English American Theatre in Stuttgart in October of 2017.
- ...the 2016 Horrmonists jubilee concert in Vaihingen/Enz with the Barberlights and the Horrmonists.
- ...the 2015 Fellbach Fiesta International.
- ...gospel concerts in 2015, 2016 and 2017 at the Johanneskirche (2015) and Leonhardtskirche in Stuttgart with various gospel groups from around the region.
